Zero-voltage and zero-current switching energy-recovery circuit for plasma display panel

摘要: A new zero-voltage and zero-current switching (ZVZCS) energy-recovery circuit (ERC) for a plasma display panel (PDP) is proposed. Since its auxiliary composed of 2 diodes only power switches compared with 8 4 the prior circuit, it features simpler structure, less mass, lower cost production. Furthermore, since all are turned on or off under switching, has very desirable advantages such as high efficiency, no serious EMI problem, low losses, burden cooling system reduced. In particular, current sources built in inductors compensates discharge current, could solve problem undesirable voltage drop, which enables to light at 140 V about 165 circuit. Therefore, this proposed expected be well suited hang-on-the-wall PDP color TV.
