摘要: Summary: Rodent animal models of inflammatory and autoimmune disease have been important tools in the study interaction between neuroendocrine physiology immune responses. The rat has particularly useful part because, contrast to other species, most autoimmune/inflammatory are induced rather than spontaneous. This allows for systematic controlled manipulations system relation exposure antigen or pro-inflammatory trigger. frequently used challenges include lipopolysaccharide-induced septic shock, carrageenan-induced local inflammation adjuvant bacterial cell wall-induced arthritis. By analyzing responses these different strains rats mice it possible define relationships systems identify some mechanisms through which connections confer susceptibility resistance diseases. present review will discuss data obtained from rodent physiology, indicating that an component development diseases is due dysfunctional regulation response by hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal axis. In particular, importance neurons paraventricular hypothalamic nucleus determining be discussed.
