摘要: Estimation of RMR using prediction equations is the basis for calculating energy requirements. In present study, was predicted by Harris-Benedict, Schofield, Henry, Mifflin-St Jeor and Owen measured indirect calorimetry in 125 healthy adult women varying BMI (17-44 kg/m2). Agreement between methods assessed Bland-Altman analyses each equation accuracy percentage individuals within ± 10 % RMR. Slopes intercepts bias as a function average (mean RMR) were calculated regression analyses. Predictors investigated univariate multivariate linear regression. At group level, (the difference not different from zero only (0 (sd 153) kcal/d 640) kJ/d)) Henry (8 163) (33 682) equations. most accurate at individual level 71 66 participants, respectively. For all equations, limits agreement wide, slopes negative, positive significantly (P < 0⋅05) zero. Increasing age, height associated with underestimation RMR, but collectively these variables explained 15 variance estimation bias. Overall low particularly high The this dataset, errors still observed about one-third participants.
