摘要: Global distributions of the six principal reactive nitrogen (NOy) compounds (HNO3, NO2, NO, N2O5, ClONO2, and HNO4) have been derived from midinfrared limb emission spectra taken by Michelson Interferometer for Passive Atmospheric Sounding (MIPAS) on board Envisat during 2002–2012. The obtained data set provides a unique climatological record NOy in middle atmosphere. contribution produced energetic particle precipitation (EPP) has discriminated that N2O oxidation using tracer correlation method based MIPAS CH4 CO observations. EPP-NOy distributions, vertical range 20–70km, allow to trace odd polar winter descent mesosphere down lower stratosphere, where it contributes catalytic ozone destruction. Highest concentrations (up 1 ppmv) are found solstice mesosphere, decreasing continuously with time toward altitudes. Springtime peak few parts per billion volume observed at 22–25km, demonstrating regular EPP impact entire stratosphere. interannual variation shows clear solar cycle signal consonance geomagnetic activity variations. A pronounced hemispheric asymmetry is observed, higher Southern Hemisphere (SH) stronger variability Northern (NH). Poleward 60°, column 20–70km 10–40% SH 1–30% NH. Smaller contributions (0.1–1%) midlatitudes (30°–60°). This study first assessment intrusions into stratosphere globally available satellite decadal scale.
