摘要: Objectives The goal of this study was to examine the progression central arterial pulse pressure (cPP) in women and degree which can be reversed by nitrovasodilation. Background cPP partitioned into height first systolic shoulder (P1), generated a forward wave related stiffness, augmentation (AP), thought influenced reflection from muscular arteries and/or aortic reservoir. Methods Using longitudinal cohort design, cPP, P1, AP were estimated (using SphygmoCor System [AtCor Medical Pty Ltd., West Ryde, Australia]) 411 female twins over mean follow-up 10.8 years. In subsample (n = 42), stiffness velocity [PWV]) diameters ultrasonography) measured before after nitroglycerin administration (400 μg s/l). Results increased more than peripheral (10.3 9.2 mm Hg, respectively; p Conclusions Age-related widening is driven large part an increase AP, selective dilation arteries, independent PWV.
