摘要: During the latter half of this century anthropological surveys in East Africa have made significant contributions to understanding how human species has evolved. In past two decades, particularly, discoveries our fossil ancestors been unprecedented numbers and diversity. Detailed studies these fossils provide new insights into evolution, such as origin locomotion cultural activity, evolution brain, among many other complex features that come define humanity. Even during time manuscript was written, hominid Ethiopia Kenya were announced trace earliest further back Pliocene. The ages assigned obtained through radiometric dating volcanic rocks interbedded with fossiliferous sediments. Such numerical calibrations are crucial rates timing evolutionary change.
