Making Health Happen on Campus: A Review of a Required General Education Health Course

摘要: Revisions of general education curricula have been ongoing as universities strive to meet the goal helping students succeed (Glynn, Aultman, & Owens, 2005). The importance health status with regard future potential college and impact years on their has highlighted in American College Health Association?Healthy Campus 2010 document (2004). Research demonstrated relationship between student academic performance (Pritchard Wilson, 2003). Findings highlight negative effects that substance abuse, emotional issues, risky sexual behaviors (Marlatt Witkiewitz, 2002; Pritchard 2003; Riley, Durbin, DAriano, 2005; Von Ah, Ebert, Ngamvitroj, Parj, Kang, 2004). With this understanding, required a personal course curriculum should be self-evident, yet its continues an issue contention. This article reviews need for college-level course, explains why colleges provide effective place teach provides evaluation results delivered four thousand per year.
