Improving the Measurement of Language Aptitude: The Potential Contribution of L1 Measures.

摘要: Two studies at the Defense Language Institute (California) investigated contribution of several variables to prediction post-language-training proficiency: (1) scores on a general vocational aptitude battery and language battery, both used screen potential students; (2) other cognitive measures not in screening process; (3) ratings student motivation, anxiety, use learning strategies. additional continued effort add certain types native competency Aptitude Battery for selection.
