摘要: Background Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) rupture occurs when wall stress exceeds strength. Engineering principles suggest that diameter is only one aspect of its geometry influences stress. Finite element analysis considers the complete and determines stresses throughout structure. This article investigates interoperator intraoperator reliability finite in calculation peak (PWS) AAA examines variation PWS elective acute AAAs. Method Full ethics institutional approval was obtained. The study recruited 70 patients (30 acute, 40 elective) with an infrarenal AAA. Computed tomography (CT) images were obtained from renal vessels to bifurcation. Manual edge extraction, three-dimensional reconstruction, blinded performed ascertain location value PWS. Ten CT data sets analyzed by four different operators operator twice reliability. An intraclass correlation coefficient Mann-Whitney U test independent samples t compared groups for statistical significance. Results 0.71 0.84 There no statistically significant difference mean (SD) maximal between (6.47 [1.30] cm) (7.08 [1.39] (P = .073). (0.67 [0.30] MPa) (1.11 [0.51] .008) significant, however. Conclusion Interoperator derivation acceptable. PWS, but not diameter, significantly higher AAAs than
