摘要: BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: Multisection CT angiography is a minimally invasive technique that can provide high-resolution and high-contrast images of the arterial lumen wall. To our knowledge, ability multisection in detecting vertebral artery (VA) dissection has never been evaluated. We assessed sensitivity specificity routine, standardized, angiographic protocol for detection VA dissection. METHODS: retrospectively reviewed angiograms 17 patients with control subjects. The acquisition was 1.25-mm nominal section thickness, table speed 7.5 mm per rotation (9.4 mm/s), 0.8-second gantry period. Two radiologists maximum intensity projection axial source images. this depicting were determined. RESULTS: Conventional depicted 15 normal 19 dissected VAs (including five stenotic, seven occlusive, aneurysmal dissections) patient group 28 six atherosclerotic group. enabled successful diagnosis all 48 (98%) 49 nondissected but misidentified severe lesion as an aneurysmal-type sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, positive negative predictive values diagnosing 100%, 98%, 98.5%, 95%, respectively. CONCLUSION: sensitive accurate
