摘要: The High-Mobility Group Box (HMGB) proteins are highly abundant with both nuclear and extracellular roles in key biological processes. In mammals, three family members present: HMGB1, HMGB2 HMGB3. We characterized the HMGB zebrafish report a detailed phylogenetic analysis of proteins. B1, B2, B3 subfamilies present cartilaginous fish, bony tetrapods, while jawless fish sequences emerge as basal to gene expansion. Two co-orthologs each mammalian zebrafish. All six hmgb genes maternally expressed, but huge differences expression levels exist during embryonic development. hmgb2a/hmgb2b most hmgb3b is expressed at lowest level. Remarkably, hmgb3 not fugu, medaka, Tetraodon stickleback. Our highlights substantial overlaps, also subtle specificities patterns genes.
