摘要: Since passage of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) 1969, environmental impact assessment has become key component planning and decision-making in US. More recently, agency planners decision-makers have recognized a need for better understanding social consequences projects, programs, policies. In response to this need, group scientists formed Interorganizational Committee on Guidelines Principles Social Impact Assessment (SIA), with purpose outlining set guidelines principles that will assist agencies private interests fulfilling their obligations under NEPA, related authorities, mandates. The paper is present central some operational use by federal conducting assessments.
