Moniliformin from Fusarium fujikuroi Culture Material and Deoxynivalenol from Naturally Contaminated Wheat Incorporated into Diets of Broiler Chicks

摘要: The effects of feeding diets containing 100 mg moniliformin (M)/kg feed from culture material and 16 deoxynivalenol (DON)/kg naturally contaminated wheat were evaluated in growing broiler chicks 1 day to 21 days age. Body weight (BW), body-weight gain, consumption decreased by M plus DON diets. Relative heart was increased the diet, whereas relative weights proventriculus, gizzard, diet. diet alanine transferase aspartate transaminase activities creatinine concentration mean corpuscular volume, hemoglobin, hemoglobin (MCHC). glucose, MCHC. Histopathological lesions limited kidney consisted extensive renal tubular epithelial degeneration luminal mineralization. A moderation severity seen tissues DON-fed chicks, consisting generally mild degeneration. None parameters measured affected Results indicate additive or less-than-additive toxicity for most when fed DON/kg feed. Although this study high compared with that reported feedstuffs, additional information on occurrence will need be collected order assess importance poultry industry.
