摘要: Reform efforts in science education emphasize the importance of supporting students' construction knowledge through inquiry. Project-based (PBS) is an ambitious approach to instruction that addresses concerns reformers. A sample 142 10th- and 11th-grade students enrolled a PBS program completed 12th-grade 1996 National Assessment Educational Progress (NAEP) test. Compared with subgroups identified by NAEP most closely matched our student sample, White middle class, outscored national on 44% test items. This study shows participating curriculum were prepared for this type testing.
