摘要: Biodegradable magnesium-based implants are the subject of a great deal research for different orthopedic and vascular applications. The targeted design properties depend on specific medical function location in body. Development biomaterial requires comprehensive understanding biological interaction between implant host tissue, as well behavior physiological environment vivo. Research into development innovative magnesium entails interdisciplinary efforts communication materials science, bioscience, experts. present study provides transparent planning tool market-oriented processes. objective was to identify needs at an early stage process quantify importance engineering characteristics fields that cater requirements. method is demonstrated by performance survey-based conjoint analysis, which integrated quality deployment approach. Twenty-seven professionals 29 scientists assessed identified requirements, whereby control mechanical integrity degradation along with nontoxicity nonimmunogenicity showed highest number preferences. evaluation options 31 experts indicated characteristic condition sterilization surface. These values can be used set priorities strategic decisions. trials aligned preferences, ensuring high product effective process. This first paper report application conjoint-based research.
