摘要: Grasslands are the basis for a stable agriculture in northeast USA. However, knowledge of interactive effects diverse soils and climate this region on grassland production remains scant. Our objective was to quantify effect soil environment biomass N accumulation. The study conducted 3 yr four sites central Pennsylvania selected water holding capacity temperature regime. Orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata L.) treated with split application (50%/50%) 0, 84, 168 kg ha -1 15 depleted ammonium nitrate. Biweekly samples were taken starting 30 April each year continuing until grass heading stage. At heading, plots cut at 7.5-cm stubble height all herbage removed. Plots refertilized second half monthly sampling commenced 31 July continued October []
