摘要: A 6-year-old 18-kg (39-lb) spayed female Standard Poodle was referred for treatment of pneumopericardium. The dog did not have severe clinical signs relating to the pneumopericardium, and diagnosis made incidentally while investigating cause a cough. Computed tomography revealed an air-filled structure consistent with bulla right heart base that appeared communicate pericardial cavity Because spontaneous resolution pneumopericardium seemed unlikely cardiac tamponade possibility, exploratory thoracotomy performed. lobulated found at hilus middle lung lobe adhered underlying sac, 4-cm-diameter communication from pericardium pulmonary found. Right lobectomy performed, pericardiotomy opening were sutured. recovered without complications. In previously reported cases involving cat dog, condition resolved spontaneously. this in contrast, surgical resection affected reconstruction required
