摘要: We describe the development and persistence of severe immunodeficiency in a previously healthy young woman shortly after she was deliberately injected with blood that drawn from patient AIDS. The heterogenous populations human virus (HIV) donor recipient were as closely related those reported previous cases proven transmission. relatively large proportion non-syncytium-inducing (NSI) clones suggests selective but not complete suppression syncytium-inducing (SI) viruses. continuous presence SI viruses might explain immunosuppression persisted once seroconverted. A codon 215 mutation (indicative zidovudine resistance) present NSI recipient. relative increase resistance absence therapy secondary to clones. Findings this case suggest qualities an inoculum and/or route transmission are important determinants subsequent clinical course HIV disease.
