摘要: Global climate change, related to the greenhouse gases emission, impacts hydroelectric power generation mainly due increase in air temperature and changes precipitation patterns. As a consequence, it affects basin evapotranspiration process, runoff, sediment transport as well evaporation of reservoirs. This study analysed current future Brazilian context reservoirs investigated potential change on hydropower possible mitigation adjustments, giving relevant examples from around world. Moreover, is key consider other factors that influence availability water resources such as: (a) upstream development reservoirs, agricultural systems, which can contribute increased demand; (b) land use, have an impact soil degradation transport. Hydroelectric dams are alternative mitigate considering those could generate need adaptive actions. The assessment impacts’ projections anticipates scenarios assist strategic planning together with definition operational policies.
