摘要: ABSTRACTOur goal is to provide empirical scientists with practical tools and advice which test hypotheses related individual differences in intra-individual variability using the mixed-effects location-scale model. To that end, we evaluate Type I error rates power detect predict this model empirically-based guidelines for building scale models include random and/or systematically-varying fixed effects. We also two simulation programs allow researchers conduct a priori analyses. Our results aligned statistical theory, that, greater was observed designs more individuals, repeated occasions, proportions of variance available be explained, larger effect sizes. In addition, our indicated were acceptable situations when not initially ...
