摘要: This talk focuses on research and development of high power solid state lasers for industrial materials processing. For these one is generally aiming at compact laser heads with output power, good beam quality, electrical-to-optical efficiency. However, qualitative goals depend the specific application can be quite different. example, very often quality “good enough”, if coupled to a 600-μm quartz fiber numerical aperture 0.2. an important benchmark because many systems use such fibers 600 μm or 1000 core diameter.
