摘要: Background: Resilience has been shown to be protective against alcohol use disorders (AUDs), but the magnitude and nature of relationship between these 2 phenotypes are not clear. The aim this study was examine strength degree which it results from common genetic or environmental influences. Methods: assessed on a 9-point scale during personal interview in 1,653,721 Swedish men aged 17 25 years. AUD identified based medical, legal, pharmacy registries. resilience examined using logistic regression. extent arises factors bivariate Cholesky decomposition model. Results: 5 single items that comprised assessment (social maturity, interest, psychological energy, home environment, emotional control) all reduced risk for subsequent AUD, with social maturity showing strongest effect. linear effect by regression showed 1-point increase associated 29% decrease odds AUD. model demonstrated resilience–AUD largely attributable overlapping shared (57 36%, respectively). Conclusions: is strongly reduction This appears result influences impact rather than directly causal relationship. (Less)
