摘要: Author self-citations are another factor that affects the impact of a journal. Typically these just counted as such. But to be more meaningful I suggest when examining contribution authors' factors one should first count number citations in text rather than reference list, and then discriminate between different kinds author self-citations--from those informative self-enhancing--if data credible.
