摘要: This study explores the current perceptions and ideal expectations battered women have for their marital relationships. Based on previous research Circumplex model of Olson (1979), it was hypothesized that women's relationships would be categorized as Extreme according to this Model. The categorization has been associated with a variety forms family dysfunction. Family Adaptability Cohesiveness Evaluation Scales Demographic Questionnaires were completed by 57 during stay at one two Women's shelters, in addition 22 outpatient therapy through shelters. Analyses revealed significant support relationship hypothesis. As predicted, fell into category; more frequently Balanced type. Clinical implications findings are discussed; suggestions directions future area might take, offered.
