摘要: Buckling-restrained braces (BRBs) have received considerable attention in seismic design of various types structures. Conventional BRBs are composed steel core and surrounding tube filled with concrete. Eliminating the can be advantageous to BRB. In this study idea replacing by CFRP layers is proposed. The advantages type BRB mentioned, its criteria introduced. construction procedure two specimens described. uniaxially tested based on moderate, severe earthquake levels performance investigated. backbone curves resulted from hysteresis curve presented for proposes. results show that effectively provide expected encasing, proposed considered a viable alternative conventional BRBs.
