摘要: We show that a gold surface with atomically flat terraces as large (150 nm)2 can be easily prepared in air by melting wire an oxyacetylene torch. Features characteristic dimensions low 10 nm written and observed on these scanning tunneling microscope. The features are appreciably distorted diffusion within hour.
