摘要: The study of effect Environmental Enrichment application and assessment cortisol levels in a individual have been subsidizing the knowledge about ontogenetic development, neural plasticity welfare conditions animals kept captivity. In this effects seven jaguars (Panthera onca) captivity with sedentaries habits was observed. concentrations saliva were measured as physiological parameter. collection didn't cause behavioral changes animals, indicating effectiveness method non-invasive alternative. Results indicate that there significant reduction Enrichment, which reflects decreased stress improved quality life. presence many visitors associated elevated cortisol. On other hand Enrichment. present generated relevant information to improve well-being captivity, addition allowance an animal model for discussing direct patients neurodegenerative diseases or brain damage.
