摘要: The goal of this paper is to relate numerical dissipations that are inherited in high order shock-capturing schemes with the onset wrong propagation speed discontinuities. For pointwise evaluation source term, previous studies indicated phenomenon discontinuities connected smearing discontinuity caused by discretization advection term. present study focuses only on solving reactive system fractional step method using Strang splitting. Studies shows degree highly dependent accuracy method. manner which contained and overall amount dissipation being employed play major roles. Depending method, time grid spacing, simulation may lead (a) correct solution (within truncation error scheme), (b) a divergent solution, (c) or (d) other spurious solutions discretized counterparts but not governing equations. findings might shed some light reported difficulties combustion problems stiff nonlinear (homogeneous) terms general.
