摘要: Abstract: Effectively breaking lignocellulose recalcitrance, releasing the locked polymeric sugars and coutilization of components is largest technical economical challenge for emerging bioeconomy. Cellulose solvent- organic solvent-based fractionation (COSLIF), has shown to effectively fractionate under modest reaction conditions. The resulting solids, amorphous cellulose, from corn stover, switchgrass, common reed, poplar, hemp herds, showed high glucan digestibilities fast enzymatic hydrolysis rates. Utilization co-products fractionated (e.g., lignin, acetic acid, hemicellulose) would greatly increase overall potential revenues future biorefineries.
