摘要: Previous studies have shown that lesions of the posterodorsal amygdala (PDA) produce hyperphagia and obesity in female rats. To better understand role PDA regulation feeding behavior, current study examined effects electrical stimulation rats on food intake identified neurons activated by using Fos immunohistochemistry. Hormonal levels following were also investigated. Electrical (100 muA, 0.2 ms, 20 Hz, 10 min) remarkably decreased 1 h Following stimulation, number Fos-like immunoreactive increased caudal intermediate parts nucleus solitary tract (NST), area postrema (AP), external lateral subnucleus parabrachial (PBN), arcuate hypothalamus (Arc), central amygdaloid (CeA). The level circulating leptin was elevated significantly as well. Together with previous studies, results suggest may play an important at least partly modulating leptin, NST, AP, PBN, Arc, CeA probably participate this regulation.
