Care ideologies reflected in 4 conceptions of pharmaceutical care

摘要: Abstract Background Different ways to practice pharmaceutical care have been developed. One expression of this fact is the existence many different classification systems document drug-related problems (DRPs). Evidence suggests that characteristics and these reflect conceptions care. To increase understanding care, underlying values beliefs (ideologies) can be explored. Objective explore various identify ideologies on which are based. Methods Representatives 4 selected were interviewed in face-to-face meetings. During interviews, basic questions asked. Three focused 1 DRPs. Interview transcripts analyzed by an inductive method inspired grounded theory. The studied Strand , Granada-II PCNE v5.0 Apoteket . Results In patients given a more active role process, as compared Pharmacists all assume they special knowledge benefit from. However, use their conceptions. individual goals drug therapy established together with patient, whereas not explicitly discussed. identified differences correspond ideologies. Conclusions based ideology expressed how set patient needs defined. patient-centered ideology; defined practitioners. evidence-based medicine approach; practitioners, available scientific knowledge.
