摘要: We propose a new type charge ordering scheme in Fe3O4 which is basically different from that postulated by Verwey. Recent observation of neutron critical scattering1 above the 119°K transition has revealed internal lattice mode with wave vector 1/2 C* cubic reciprocal becomes unstable at transition. This suggests electron‐phonon interaction playing an important role to initiate this phase transition, and would be understood as condensation coupled density‐phonon mode. Based on standpoint, behavior phonons density waves along [00ξ] direction (Δ‐points) scattering cross sections due these fluctuations studied. The analysis observed intensity distributions shows condensing phonon belongs two dimensional irreducible representation Δ5. When combined strong interaction, leads same symmetry Δ5, Verwey’s model. scattered spectra are also discussed connection hopping relaxation time electrons.We of...
