摘要: Background Wolbachia is a group of intracellular maternally inherited bacteria infecting high number arthropod species. Their presence in different mosquito species has been largely described, but Aedes aegypti, the main vector Dengue virus, never found naturally infected by Wolbachia. Similarly, malaria vectors and other anophelines are normally negative to Wolbachia, with exception an African population where these have recently detected. Asaia acetic acid bacterium stably associated several species, as dominant microorganism microbiota. described gut, salivary glands reproductive organs adult mosquitoes Ae. aegypti anophelines. It shown that may impede vertical transmission Wolbachia Anopheles mosquitoes. Here we present experimental study, aimed at determining whether there interference between for gonad niche
