摘要: By reducing potassium chromate with hydrogen and then calcining the obtained intermediate at high temperature, ultra-fine chromia (Cr2O3) powder a mean diameter of 0.3 mu m was successfully prepared. Using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) XRD, products were characterized. Through XPS, TG-DSC, FT-IR, XRD chemical analysis, reaction mechanism explored. The results revealed that, from consists Cr(OH)(3)center dot nH(2)O, CrOOH, KCrO2 but composition changes reduction temperature time. Typically, content in ranges approximately 0.7% to 8% by weight chromium 50% 57% weight. It also found just presence oxygen can be completely removed final product. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd.
