Locus of control and avoidant coping: direct, interactional and mediational effects on maladjustment in adolescents

摘要: Abstract This study examined the association of locus control (LOC) and avoidant coping (AVC) with anxiety/depression (ANX/DEP) in terms additive, interactional mediational models. A total 468 male female subjects between 14 17 years age completed questionnaires covering LOC, AVC ANX/DEP. Results showed that both LOC were directly related to Among males, as increased externality, level ANX/DEP for those low AVC, but decreased high AVC. For females, interaction did not influence also partial mediation by on relation ANX/DEP, These findings are discussed how adolescent maladjustment.
