摘要: Batch biosorption experiments were carried out for the removal of methylene blue, a basic dye, from aqueous solution using raw Posidonia oceanica (L.) fibres, marine lignocellulosic biomass. A series assays undertaken to assess effect system variables, i.e. contact time, pH, biosorbent dosage and initial dye concentration. The results had showed that capacity was optimal 6-9 pH range by increasing concentration up 1 g/L. kinetics analyzed irreversible-first-order, reversible-first-order pseudo-second-order sorption data very well described model entire adsorption time with squared correlation coefficients equal unity all experimented concentrations. Besides, equilibrium represented both Langmuir Redlich-Peterson isotherm models followed Freundlich, which confirm monolayer coverage blue molecules onto P. fibres.
