摘要: Participatory sensing allows for a person-centric approach to gathering environmental measurement data with, in principle, high gran- ularity space and time. Here we report on citizen science experiment noise mapping 1 km2 area the city of Antwerp using NoiseTube, participatory framework monitoring ambient noise. At technical side, set up measuring equipment accordance with offi- cial norms insofar as they apply, also carrying out extensive calibration experiments. collaborated 10 volunteers from citizen-led Antwerp-based action group. From gathered construct purely measurement-based maps targeted error margins about 5dB, comparable those official simulation-based maps.
