摘要: Triclosan (TCS) is an antimicrobial compound used in consumer products. The purpose of current study was to examine toxicology and risk assessment TCS based on available data. Acute toxicities oral, transdermal inhalation routes were low, phototoxicity neurotoxicity not observed. Topical treatment animal caused mild irritation. did induce reproductive developmental toxicity rodents. In addition, genotoxicity considered vitro vivo tests TCS. It classified as a carcinogen international authorities such International Agency for Research Cancer (IARC). No-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL) determined 12 mg/kg bw/day TCS, haematoxicity reduction absolute relative spleen weights 104-week oral rats. Percutaneous absorption rate set 14%, which human skin reported by National Industrial Chemicals Notification Assessment Scheme (NICNAS) (2009). systemic exposure dosage (SED) has been derived two scenarios depending the cosmetics usage Koreans. first scenario combined use representative care second rinse-off products cleansing, deodorants, coloring products, SEDs have calculated 0.14337 0.04733 scenario. As result, margin safety (MOS) estimated 84 253.5, respectively. Based these results, contained would pose significant health when it up 0.3%.
