摘要: Abstract Objective The literature suggests that a fetus will adapt to surrounding adversities by optimizing its use of energy improve survival, ultimately leading the programming individual's intake and expenditure. While recent reviews focused on fetal food preferences, there is also some evidence adversity associated with diminished physical activity levels. Therefore, we aimed review (a) for an association between being born intrauterine growth restriction sedentarism over life-course (b) potential benefits cardiometabolic risk factors this population. Sources PubMed, Scielo, Scopus Embase. Summary findings Most clinical studies used objective measures found no levels, while most self-reported questionnaires revealed such relationships, particularly leisure time activity. Experimental support existence activity, show exposure exercise during IUGR individuals’ life improves metabolic outcomes but less effect was seen muscle architecture or function. Conclusions Alterations in strength metabolism, as well altered aerobic performance, may predispose individuals be spontaneously physically active, suggesting population important target preventive interventions. Although very heterogeneous, different allow us infer have beneficial effects especially are more vulnerable modifications those IUGR.
