摘要: Chronic combat-related posttraumatic stress disorder (CR-PTSD) is a condition with many treatment barriers. Nature Adventure Rehabilitation (NAR) as second line or supplemental intervention has the potential to overcome some of these barriers and incorporate aspects successful modalities for PTSD within an experiential learning paradigm. In pre-post controlled trial, CR-PTSD veterans (n=22) underwent 1-year NAR compared waiting list (WL) control group (n=20). Posttraumatic symptoms (PTS), depression, functional problems, quality life, perceived over illness (PCI) hope were measured by self report measures. PTS, emotional social PCI, functioning improved significantly. Change in PTS was contingent upon change PCI. The current study first present promising chronic CR-PTSD. seems work through process behavioral activation, desensitization, gradual exposure anxiety evoking situations gaining symptomatology.
