摘要: Wine alcohol distilleries produce eight volumes of high-strength waste from every volume ethanol. This has an acidic character, average COD 21 g dm−-3 and BOD 13 dm−-3. This paper examines aerobic treatment as alternative to anaerobic digestion for the reduction strength. The process start-up digestors until attainment steady-state conditions, optimization achieve adequate purifying performance were studied. Once optimum operation conditions had been attained (at 8 days retention time), removals 78% 88%, respectively, achieved. A Substrate Utilization Model predicted accurately process, except at times less than 3 days, where system works in unsteady conditions.
