Synthesis, characterization, photocatalytic effect of thiourea and thioglycolic acid on ZnO/CuS nanocomposites for degradation of Mordant black 11 dye

摘要: ZnO/CuS nanocomposite was synthesized by hydrothermal technique using two different sulfur source such as TU = thiourea and TA = thioglycolic acid. Pure ZnO CuS (TU TA) nanoparticles were synthesized, a comparative analysis performed. X-ray diffraction discloses the average crystalline size of to be 18 nm 12 nm, respectively. HR-TEM exhibits particle 27.50 nm 30.50 nm for (TU) (TA). Brunauer–Emmett–Teller confirms surface area 1.246 m2/g (TA) 11.086 m2/g. The band gaps estimated 3.1 eV 1.6 eV 2.64 eV photocatalytic activity ZnO, nanocomposites investigated solar irradiation mordant black 11 dye in an aqueous medium.
