摘要: In a rotary cutting tool (58) used for milling operations, reversible indexable insert (20) is removably secured in body (60). The has two opposing end surfaces (22) interconnected by continuous peripheral surface (24), including three side (26) alternating with corner (28). and (28) intersect both at (40) (42) edges, respectively, each edge having major (44), (46) minor (48) edge. Each (44) slopes away from first (El) second (E2) points, of its mutually associated (46), towards median plane (M). A imaginary straight line (LI) extending perpendicular to the (M) intersecting any one edges point along length except point, passes through inside an boundary (Lb).
