摘要: Proper maintenance can help vehicles perform as designed, positively affecting fuel economy, emissions, and the overall drivability. This effort investigates effect of one factor, intake air filter replacement, with primary focus on vehicle but also examining emissions performance. Older studies, dealing carbureted gasoline vehicles, have indicated that replacing a clogged or dirty improve economy conversely be significantly detrimental to economy. The filters acceleration five fueled is examined. Four these were modern featuring closed-loop control ranging in model year from 2003 2007. Three powered by naturally aspirated, port injection (PFI) engines differing size cylinder configuration: an inline 4, V6 V8.
