摘要: Vascular disease is differentiated throughout the vascular regions with aorta more prone to dilatation and peripheral arteries occlusive disease. In this study, we investigated diameter distensibility in common carotid artery (CCA) abdominal (AO) healthy females of varying ages assess potential differences aging process. The pulsatile change CCA AO 66 Caucasian aged 8 79 y were examined using an ultrasound phase-locked echo-tracking technique. Blood pressure was obtained by auscultatory method. Arterial stiffness (beta) calculated. both increases, not only childhood, but also adult women. adults (25 75 y) seems be pronounced (23%) than (11%). Stiffness higher before 20 age (p < 0.05). increases arterial regions, increase initially somewhat AO, which means that no between are seen from 25 onward. conclusion, study demonstrates regional implies age-related changes wall CCA. These differences, however, as marked previously reported males.
