Modulation of Beta2 and Beta3 integrins in experimental colitis induced by iodoacetamide and enteropathogenic E. coli.

摘要: Integrins can modulate the infiltration of inflammatory cells and secretion various mediators, essential players in pathogenesis colitis. This study explores role beta2 beta3 integrin signaling their possible experimental A total 160 adult male Sprague-Dawly rats were divided into 4 equal groups: methylcellulose, bacteria, iodoacetamide plus bacteria. Clinical symptoms signs colitis checked daily colonic tissues biopsied on days 3, 14, 28, 56 post induction. Histological studies along with histochemical analysis polymerase chain reaction beta2, alphavbeta3 performed according to standard procedures. The consistent previously reported data active highest expression was combined treatment mostly platelets, endothelial cells. In same group, complex reached score after all layers. Beta2 showed a 3-4-fold increase group at time points kept increasing till day 56. It expressed mucosa submucosa. addition, both αvβ3 αiiβ3 integrins also elevated 2- 10-fold, respectively, groups throughout duration experiment. conclusion, IA Enteropathogenic E. coli led significant upregulation tested duration. Such could have contributed chronicity inflammation.
