摘要: Five shallow areas (< 4 m in depth) Moreton Bay were selected to examine fish communities. These can be categorized as sand-drifting, sea grass, river mouth, mangrove fringe and sewage outlet. A total of 86 species recorded. (6%) regarded true marine but these rare occurrence (0·5%). Four (5%) highly abundant (51%) 57 (66%) represented by low numbers (5%). The outlet the mouth sites found contain highest number with relatively species. sand-drifting grass different fauna, both from remaining three which high similarity faunal groups. Food availability, preference for habitats, vegetation, juvenile/adult segregation, season juvenile recruitment hydrological characteristics thought important factors affecting distribution fish.
