摘要: The Texas Department of Transportation has reported difficulty stabilizing soils bearing high and low concentrations organic matter with lime. Problems include: the stabilizer disappearing over time, measuring (ignition oven), rough pavement due to poor subgrade support. researchers wanted identify a good test measure in problematic fraction that causes problems lime stabilization. Secondly, they determine what mechanism or mechanisms were responsible for interfering They developed simple technique humic acid content using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. also constructed hundreds manufactured consisting standard mixed different clay mineral standards, lime, quartz sand. These used changes engineering properties as well monitor chemical elucidate factors controlling reaction mechanisms. From soils, determined does interfere stabilization by inhibiting formation Calcium Silicate Hydrate products between minerals. This results reduced unconfined compressive strength values stabilized cores. concentration inhibits pozzolanic is around 1 percent. Calcareous containing appear respond better than soils. study was first provide direct evidence effects on soil
