摘要: Objective To investigate the level of anorexia and its correlation with mortality in chronic kidney disease stage 5 patients not yet on dialysis (CKD5-ND) those undergoing (CKD5-D). Design In an observational study, self-rated appetite (as part a subjective global assessment nutritional status), along anthropometrics biochemical markers status, was analyzed relation to survival. subgroup patients, change after start studied prospectively. Subjects Two hundred eighty CKD5-ND (40% female; age 54 ± 12 years; glomerular filtration rate 7 2 mL/minute) 243 CKD5-D (116 hemodialysis 127 peritoneal [PD]; 44% vintage time months) who had been for about 1 year were studied. Results poor (50%) higher prevalence cardiovascular disease, lower body weight serum creatinine level, C-reactive protein. (33%) impaired status weight, fat mass, handgrip strength, hemoglobin, albumin level. a Kaplan–Meier analysis, associated survival difference, whereas Cox proportional hazards model competing risk increased PD but patients. Conclusion independent predictor 48-months survival, there significant increase appetite.
