摘要: Chemo- and radiation therapies used to treat cancer can have the unintended effect of making patients infertile. Clinically established fertility preservation methods, such as egg embryo cryopreservation, are not applicable all patients, which has motivated development strategies that involve ovarian tissue removal cryopreservation before first sterilizing treatment. To restore at a later date, early-stage follicles present in must be matured produce functional oocytes, process is possible using existing cell culture technologies. This review describes application engineering principles promote follicle maturation mature oocytes through either vitro or transplantation. The design for these engineered systems presented, along with identification emerging opportunities reproductive biology.
